Beiter is cooler, but this does everything that the Beiter does for a lot less money. No clicks for adjusting tension, but I can remember if I changed it a quarter turn or any other amount of turns. I also turn in the lock **** so it puts a little pressure on the tension ****. Then I just keep the one hex wrench in my pocket and can make small adjustments while shooting.
Kind of lame that Shibuya don't provide a wrench for the locking ring against the riser. But I found a set that contained the required 12 mm size on Amazon for 10$. I have a couple of thousand shots through mine now and it is never a problem. I did put on blue threadlocker to ensure it stayed put in the riser before I got a wrench. That worked fine too.
Nice to have 3 spring strengths and I found I had to change to the weak spring to bring my group (including the bare shaft) over to the point of aim. Easy to change springs.
The Shibuya DX Plunger works incredibly smoothly, and is the best plunger you can get in this price range. It doesn't have any micro-adjustments, but that's not always necessary. Absolutely worth the $30 over other options which will wear down quickly.
As a side note, CAO doesn't seem to sell the spanner wrench, but the one that comes with the Avalon Tyro plunger works on the Shibuya. The spanner should really come packaged with the Shibuya to begin with, but that one's not CAO's fault.
This is my second plunger ever purchased. The quality is evident. "Set it and forget it" was the selling feature for me after the poor quality of the first plunger I bought.
The Shibuya DX Plunger is one of the most popular plungers on the market; AND with GOOD reason....! Its craftsmanship is extraordinary. Its design is as simple as a Parker Jotter Pen. Switching plunger tips or springs is as simple as refilling the ink cartridge on the above mentioned pen....! Adjustments are SUPER simple. Just “set it & forget it” ! This plunger is bullet-proof as well; super strong ! While perusing the internet I came upon imagery of this superb plunger in a dazzling Emerald Green color. Much to my astonishment, this exquisite color was NOT available on The U.S.
Market. Weird ! But, thankfully, it was available on The Canadian Market....! I purchased the last 2 remaining....! Canada Archery Online was a delight to do business with. Everything was super simple. Thanks C.A.O. for the excellent, expedient service !

The general turnaround time for special orders is a minimum of 8 weeks, depending on the lead times set by the manufacturer.

In some instances, left-handed products like premium target equipment may experience unforeseen delays due to batch production by the manufacturer.
