100% SK75 Dyneema® fiber. Highest speed and higher durability; preferred compound shooters for 3D. Also the choice of Olympic style recurve shooters worldwide.
After experimenting with some cheap Amazon products to see if I could actually make a string, I decided to try it with some real fit for purpose material. Maybe it's because I'm only a couple years into archery, but the difference was immense. So very stable with no creep, much more repeatable shots. I am shooting Barebow Recurve and ended up building a 20 strand with BCY 3D serving to fit my super3D nocks (still a touch loose, might try some .020 powergrip next to tighten it up). Excellent stability and an immediate improvement in scores when compared to the Dacron I used before. I'll be buying more of this when I run out.
As far as string material goes, is there any other manufacture for recurve. I like the way it twists up to for a nice round string. I also use Spectra 652. Still experimenting with both.
The string on my bow was old and of unknown material.
I made a string from this 8125, and the difference was night and day. Much snappier, and had no creep or stretch to speak of when I put it on my stretcher.
I used 14 strands and 0.020 polygrip to fit my Easton large groove nocks
Special orders receive top priority and are given prompt attention. While larger items like bows may not always be readily available, many special order items are consistently kept in stock. The general turnaround time for special orders is a minimum of 8 weeks, depending on the lead times set by the manufacturer.
Certain bows, such as custom target bows and high-quality traditional recurve bows, are exclusively made to order directly from the manufacturer.
In some instances, left-handed products like premium target equipment may experience unforeseen delays due to batch production by the manufacturer.
We strive to meet the deadlines mentioned above and make every effort to do so. However, there may be circumstances beyond our control that prevent us from meeting those deadlines. If such a situation arises, we will make every effort to rectify the issue. Special orders can be canceled or exchanged and are eligible for a refund after 8 weeks.
