I bought this stand after reading lots of reviews. It is easy to set up compared to others that you have to **** the legs in. And it is sturdy compared to the ones that have plastic parts that brake. The only down side as read here is that once folded, the bottom of it could damage the bag it is stored in. Still, I prefer this over something that you can't trust the built or takes forever to set up. I sowed myself a double fleece pouch and can now forget about this downside. Love it!
This stand is solid and well built. I got it to replace a bow stand that was starting to bend. This stand is made of metal with rubber feat and a rubber coating on the yoke that holds the bow. I’ve only had it for a few weeks, but I can’t imagine this stand from coming apart for years.
The wingnut that holds the legs up when unfolded is easy and quick to screw in and out. The thread is pinched at the end to stop you from accidentally screwing it right off.
The string clip is firm enough to keep my bow level and my limb tips off the ground when I’m using it.
The yoke has coloured knobs on the end. They come in different colours so that when you go to put down your bow on a crowded line you can tell which is your stand.
My only negative comment is that the stand has some pokey edges when it’s folded up. I’m worried it might damage other equipment in my bow bag if I pack the stand without covering it. This is true of pretty munch every stand though, so not a serious issue.
