AAE Cordovan Leather Elite Finger Tab comes with replaceable cordovan leather face and anodized aluminum plate. The ledge is adjustable so you can set it high and tuck your thumb under, or set it low and rest your thumb on it. This tab is trusted and used longer than any other tab in the market. Cordovan leather is taken from the rump of a horse. The leather is remarkably durable and stable, a must have if you plan to shoot your best.

Very uncomfortable finger spacer

I bought this tab due to its solid reputation amongst the olympic recurve community. Sizing was perfect for my hand with minimum trimming needed compared to the Yost barebow finger tab.

The biggest weakness of this tab would have to be the very uncomfortable finger spacer. Rather than have it screwed in from the opposite side of the plate, the spacer tapers into a thinner flat portion with a recess where you would install the ****. Straight out of the box the edge was not super rounded and would dig into my finger webbing. I use sandpaper to round out the corners a bit more and it did improve it a bit.

However, after shooting for roughly 30 mins on my friend's recurve, my webbing started feeling quite sore. If I continued on, it would've likely resulted in a small pressure injury to the tissue. I looked around and apparently AAE offers an Elite adjustable finger spacer for this tab, but looking at pictures and reading reviews from lancaster, they redesigned the elite spacer to have the same flat portion as this original one and while it has a rubber cover for the actual spacer, it does nothing to alleviate the part of the hard plastic that was digging into my webbing.

I'm going to order and try the wiawis ezr since based on the pictures and video reviews, The finger spacer doesn't have this issue as the screws are installed through the other side of the plate. I may try some moldable glue to give that flat portion a smoother curve to see if that helps with the corners digging into my webbing in the future but for now it'll just sit in my bag as a backup

AAE Cordovan Elite Finger Tab

I have used this finger tab a couple of times only( covid is limiting shooting time) and find it sturdier and more comfortable that what I was using. I am still breaking it in, but so far I am liking it.

Great tab

Used Decut Mixhar Tab previously, AAE Cordovan is a noticeable upgrade. The cordovan leather gives a much smoother release than the Mixhar and I like the aluminum ledge.

All special orders are treated with priority. Outside of larger items such as bows, many special order items are on a consistent stocking basis. General turn around due to pandemic backorders is at least 8 weeks depending on manufacturer lead times.

Some bows such as custom target bows and top shelf traditional recurve bows are on a made to order basis directly from the manufacturer.

Some left handed products such as high end target equipment can also experience unforseen delays due to manufacturer batch production.

We make every effort to meet the deadlines set above. Sometimes due to issues out of our control we are unable to accomplish this. We will make every effort to remedy the situation if that is the case.
