It does the job, but had issues with tightening, but adding an additional washer fixes that issue
I bought this inexpensive carbon fiber extender, because I was unsure if I wanted to use one ongoing. It does its job, but is impossible to tighten. The side hole (used for tool to tighten) is blocked by the threaded stud that stickes out the bottom. ie, the stud is too long, inside the base. Couldn't drill it out, as the base is soft aluminum and the stud only blocks 1/2 the hole... risking drill float and damage... had a machine shop plunge an endmill to clear the hole. My recommendation... borrow one to try out, or pay more and buy a higher end extender.
My extender did what I wanted. to push the weight a bit more forward without also adding a lot of weight at the riser.
