The new Assault by Black Gold comes with easy and precise adjustments, with an accurate micro first axis, as well as micro click adjustments on the windage and elevation. Setting this sight up is a breeze. With more range and adjustability than traditional movable hunting sights, the Ascent Verdict Assault is out to set a new standard.
The sight is fine. Tons of sight tapes and solid construction, but the advertised and pictures 2nd axis adjustment (the little silver ****) is not present. CAO said they contacted BG and were told it's discontinued yet it still shows on their website so I'm not sure what to think.
I've mounted and used it and calibrated 2nd axis the old fashioned way.
The only other issue is the pointer itself. It's soft metal, wasn't painted very well, and the tip was bent. BG is guaranteed yet the cost and time for shipping and discussions for something that 2 minutes with a file could solve wasn't worth it.
BG could also offer 0.010 pins on the multi-pin scopes yet the only option was 0.019 which is a hit fatter.
Ultimately I wanted to try BG and overall I'm satisfied but a few things weren't awesome.

Special orders receive top priority and are given prompt attention. While larger items like bows may not always be readily available, many special order items are consistently kept in stock. The general turnaround time for special orders is a minimum of 8 weeks, depending on the lead times set by the manufacturer.
Certain bows, such as custom target bows and high-quality traditional recurve bows, are exclusively made to order directly from the manufacturer.
In some instances, left-handed products like premium target equipment may experience unforeseen delays due to batch production by the manufacturer.
