The G5 Montec is my favourite Broadhead and the Canada Archery Online Service is second to none.
Good
I purchased these intending to do turkey hunting. Out of the box the sharpness is somewhat inconsistent and some of the broadheads needed a bit of care before being put to use. They fly beautifully and are efficient hunting points. Aside from blade sharpness issues out of the box, these are broadheads worth your consideration.
They fly great, easily tune, not sharp at all out of package and requires a good stone and strop to make sharp and some serious stroke count to sharpen. I’ve shot the 100 grains for awhile and liked them but wanted more FOC and went to 125 grains, my bow actually shot better and increased my longer range accuracy. They are great broadheads, but the sharpness factor does need to be dealt with by the factory. If not I would also look at the grim reaper micro hades in 125 grain, very sharp and also just as good as the montec just has replacement blades, hum, maybe I’ve talked myself into new broadheads?
