I didn't want a permanent install, so I **** it to a 8 inch long 2x4, and I clamp it to my desk. Very sturdy and doesn't move.
Works very well on both compound and trad/ recurve bows. The vise arm does not move under the weight of the bow whatsoever once locked into place. The vise allows the user to achieve many different angles to work on their bows.
