The knob not only provides precise vane location, but also places the nock into the exact same location with a specific thickness with its innovative wedge design; this allows for positive nock engagement whether you use hunting or target nocks.
Additionally, when you only need to replace one vane at a time, the Bitz Knob also features a lockdown indexing screw that allows the nock to rotate inside the body for a single vane repair alignment without needing to rotate the nock.
The stock **** is pretty good and for the most part should do the job but this AAE one is machined part which also allows you to custom set the Knock and index fletch to match. This will help immensely for single fletch replacements.and ensure the spacing is always right and that a replacement will be at the same place as the one you had to replace. I wish I started out with this fletching tool with this AAE **** A small but definite improvement on the stock one.

This Bitz **** makes an excellent fletching jig even better. No refletching the whole arrow when only one vane is in need of replacing. The indexing is better than the original. Very happy.
