This is a great back-tension release. I wanted the original three finger vs a certain hunter's modified two finger version (I have his thumb trigger version). Very solid and balanced through draw, anchor, and pull-through. Lots of adjustability of the release poundage and once you have it set it's consistent as long as you are. If it's not going off you're not pulling, or you're pulling and your shoulder is collapsing, or you're pulling with just your bicep and not your rhomboids... As I said, it's a great little coach. Spend a week shooting with this and when you return to your thumb trigger you're going to be better.
I purchased this release as a training aid to get a more consistent 'surprise' shot. I have been shooting it for about 3 months now and I am very happy I made the switch from a wrist strap. My shot mechanics have improved and I am shooting tighter groups.
But just keep in mind that your probably gonna have to change you draw length to use it.
I got interested in this release because of Nock On. It was described as a great training and overall release, and it doesn't disappoint.
It fits comfortably in my hand, and as a left handed shooter, I was glad that I could move the thumb safety from a right handed shooter's position to a left. The safety feels comfortable and secure when you're drawing, and disengages as soon as you ease off pressure. The construction feels very solid, but not too heavy, so it's easy to toss it in your pocket and forget it's there.
I was able to use the instructions it came with to adjust the level of pressure just above the holding tension on my bow so that once I released the safety, I could pull through very smoothly.
Overall, it's consistent, durable, and helps my accuracy; I highly recommend it.
