This item was a great addition to my kit.
It has great action, smooth and precise, with a sufficient range of adjustability for my taste.
I was torn between buying this or not for my wife. Owning the Truball T-Rex release and comparing this; I would say ... save a little bit longer and get a higher end thumb button release. Ok, that aside, here is some of the good and bad.
The Good: What I do like is that it is very a well priced release that works and works well. It is solidly built. Very. It is a single jaw, sear activated release. This is good and I like that. I like the arming feature (something my T-Rex lacks). The sensitivity is moderately low out of the box so it requires a little more work to launch an arrow. Not a bad thing. The release is consistent for thumb button travel and releasing.
The less good: My hands are medium sized, but I found the release blocky. Not real comfortable. The exaggerated curl at the end of the third finger forces your pinky in unnatural position that, well, makes it uncomfortable (for me). This only became a pain (literally) after about 20+ arrows. If that portion was straight without that curl this would be a keeper. The fourth finger addon isnt useful. Not unless your hand is basically a huge mitt of a hand.
There seems to be some adjustment set screws on the unit, but they dont seem to do much. The release is a little noisy when activated/triggered, but at this price range, it isnt an issue.
Conclusion:
Too big for my wife's hand and not the most comfortable for me, I will likely just keep it as a backup and to change things up on the archery range. For someone on a tight budget that wants a decent solid thumb release, this is it.
The service is nothing short of being AWESOME, Fast, friendly and very professional and willing to help in any given situation. They delivery could be faster but other that that they are spot on and I would recommend CANADA ARCHERY ONLINE to friends and family which I already have. Keep up the great work, you guys and gals are great for CANADA
