The Spin Wing is the most popular Olympic fletching. Designed to be accurate and forgiving, this vane produces faster arrow flight with a flatter trajectory, while its curved pocket traps air and makes the arrow spin twice as fast.

1st time trying spin wings

Have only shot them indoors at 18m and like how they grab air quickly, however, I shoot a single face target (barebow) and noticed that the vanes damage easily when grouping tight.

better accuracy but fragile

My bow is 32 pounds at full draw. I tried tall and short fletches in a helical arrangement. Over 50 meters the tall fletches started to parachute and they also would curl in my arrow tube such that I had to use a heat gun to get them set correctly on my X 10 arrows. Against these arrows set perfectly the Spin wings scored very close to each other below 50 meters but that extra 10 meters the spin wings gained a few points and even more in the wind. They work great but after a 100 shots or so there are always a few fletches that need to be replaced. Yes it is quick and easy but if after every session I need to replace a few, it becomes obvious that they won’t last long. So they work but are fragile but get the results. I think I will try another brand, less brittle but I won’t be going back to regular fletching over 50 meters. For indoor or even 30 meters I prefer regular fletching if for no other reason than longevity since I cannot see any advantage in scoring. Also worth noting that the fletches curling was more pronounced on X10s than Superdrive micros which are awesome and cheaper too.
I would give these spin wings a higher score if they were a bit more resiliant because they work well and consistently

Vanilla

These vanes are the vanilla flavour of Olympic recurve vanes. Some people prefer something else, but everyone is happy enough with vanilla. Lots of people try all kinds of vanes out on the market and most people just revert back to these. Cheap, effective, fairly durable and easy to replace when needed, lots of colour options. Just be sure to buy a tri-liner or other tool to draw nice lines on your arrow shafts if they aren't pre-printed on or you aren't using wraps with lines.

Forgiving & Consistent

Spin Wings are the most forgiving and most consistent vanes I've used; indoors or out.

Special orders receive top priority and are given prompt attention. While larger items like bows may not always be readily available, many special order items are consistently kept in stock. The general turnaround time for special orders is a minimum of 8 weeks, depending on the lead times set by the manufacturer.

Certain bows, such as custom target bows and high-quality traditional recurve bows, are exclusively made to order directly from the manufacturer.

In some instances, left-handed products like premium target equipment may experience unforeseen delays due to batch production by the manufacturer.

We strive to meet the deadlines mentioned above and make every effort to do so. However, there may be circumstances beyond our control that prevent us from meeting those deadlines. If such a situation arises, we will make every effort to rectify the issue. Special orders can be canceled or exchanged and are eligible for a refund after 8 weeks.
