Navigating New Tariffs: What It Means for Archery and How We're Keeping You Equipped
Update - Feb 4, 2025
Good news! The U.S. and Canada have paused new tariffs for 30 days, meaning no immediate changes to pricing. For now, you can continue shopping as usual. We’ll keep you updated if anything changes!
Tariffs and their potential impact
The recent tariffs imposed on U.S. products are making waves, and we know many of you may soon be feeling the impact. As of February 4, 2025, the Canadian government has placed a 25% tariff on a range of American goods in response to U.S. trade policies. This means that a lot of the archery equipment we’ve traditionally sourced from the U.S. may soon be increasing in cost.
If you’ve noticed some price increases or delays in getting your favourite bows, arrows, and accessories, this is why. We want to be upfront about the challenges this presents, but more importantly, we want to share what we’re doing to keep the sport affordable and accessible for you.
First, we’re actively seeking alternative suppliers outside of the U.S., including high-quality manufacturers in Europe and Asia. We’re also looking closer to home, supporting Canadian brands whenever possible to bring you the gear you need without the added tariff costs.
Special Orders
For those of you placing special orders for custom or hard-to-find equipment from the U.S., the 25% tariff will unfortunately apply. We know this isn’t ideal, and we’ll do everything we can to find comparable alternatives from other suppliers that won’t break the bank. If you have specific gear in mind, reach out to us—we’re happy to help find the best solution for you.
We appreciate your patience and support as we navigate these changes together. Our goal is to keep you well-equipped and ready to enjoy the sport you love, no matter what challenges come our way. As always, we’re here to answer any questions, explore options, and make sure you get the best possible products at fair prices.
